Background “ESF in England is investing in jobs and skills – focusing on people who need support the most and helping them fulfil their potential”:

MCMT has been established as an Industry Led engineering technology training facility, with a vision of “Inspiring Engineers for a Changing World”.

MCMT is engaged with a European Social Fund program of Skills for Growth (Priority 2.2), with a delivery profile from 01Jan19 to 31Dec23. This post will be part of the extension project from 1st July until 31st December 2022

This role relates to the timing shown above in Planned Start Date and Planned Finish Date.

The outcomes of the program are to deliver 100 SME business support activities in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin to engage businesses in growing skills, and 75 SME’s in same region to progress further skills training and/or apprenticeships.

Opportunity details This role is for: An engineering tutor(s) to provide specialist skills to develop and deliver engineering taster courses for SME businesses.

Taster courses could include weld, cnc, IT, machining, fabrication, product design CAD/CAM, robotics, 3D printing, metrology, business improvement techniques, quality skills, leadership and management.

The role may also support SME businesses in to engage  potential engineers in clubs, STEM activities and access to engineering.

Tenders are required to state day rates, inclusive of salary costs only

MCMT physical resources will be made available upon request (particularly engineering club area)
